We’re looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to work across both the Litigation and Family teams in our Wellington office. Key Tasks
- Preparing legal documents: typing and amending as well as some digital dictation, drafting, proofreading and collating
- Liaising with clients
- Diary management
- Invoicing – Private clients & Legal Aid
- File management.
- Providing a high level of personal assistance and support
- Communicating effectively with clients, other professionals and staff
- Maintaining author calendar by scheduling appointments and file related deadlines
- Keeping up to date with job related knowledge by attending meetings and participating in educational opportunities.
What experience would we ideally like you to have?
- Experience as a secretary (preferably within professional services i.e. legal or accounting etc.).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Someone who is proactive, efficient, motivated and a team player.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking to appoint several Family Lawyers in our Wellington office.
About the roles
You will be involved in high quality work across a range of family law matters including but not limited to separation, relationship property, trusts, estates, care of children matters and family violence. The team is also involved in legal aid, so experience here is preferred. It is essential you bring passion to your work and can maintain a strong service-delivery and solutions-focused approach when advising clients.
In this role, you will bring the legal expertise to manage disputes and guide clients through that process, in addition to mentoring and supporting junior lawyers in the team. You will be capable of working autonomously and enjoy a professional challenge.

We are looking for a senior litigation lawyer with 5+ years PQE to join their Wellington Litigation team. This is your opportunity to join an exceptional law firm that offers quality work.

What we’re looking for
- NZ admitted lawyers with a minimum of 5 years’ civil litigation experience
- Ability to develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with clients, including effective and regular communication and to manage and progress a variety of civil litigation matters
- Able to draft legal documents in a concise and effective manner
- To interpret legal advice to each client’s particular case to suit their level of understanding
- Be commercially responsible and fiscally aware, in relation to running files
- Take an active role in working with and mentoring junior staff
- Strong attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Great work ethic, with a respectful, passionate, and collaborative interpersonal style
