Curtis is a Māori land law and business development specialist and takes responsibility for a number of areas relating to Māori land law at JB Morrison. In particular, interests of Māori Trusts and Incorporations created under Te Ture Whenua Māori Act.
Experience
Curtis is a trained mediator and civil litigation specialist with experience in the District Court, High Court, Māori Land Court, Māori Appellate Court and Waitangi Tribunal. He looks for lasting outcomes that provide a strong foundation for Māori business and personal asset protection.
Curtis also works closely with our commercial teams, in Rotorua and Wellington, to advise clients in relation to the commercial development of Māori land. Curtis is available to act as an independent mediator for dispute resolution and as counsel in relation to Maori land and governance.
