Family
Maretta advises on the full breadth of family law issues including separation, relationship property and parenting matters. She is responsive, providing strategic and pragmatic advice in order to achieve her client’s goals. Whilst the focus is on avoiding court where possible, Maretta has considerable litigation experience enabling her to effectively represent people through that process and protect their interests.
Experience
Maretta’s experience is in all aspects of family law, including separation, relationship property division, spousal maintenance, asset protection, pre-nuptial agreements (contracting out), contested estates, parenting, family violence and surrogacy/adoption.
Maretta studied at the University of Otago between 2006 and 2010. She was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in 2011, and practised in Auckland, London and Wellington before joining JB Morrison in 2016.
